We have been working with Jesse for several years to ensure that we had our business practices aligned with state and federal laws. Being a small business we relied on her guidance. There have been instances where we had to ask, "is this the correct direction or will this create a bigger issue down the road" and she provided the options and the possible consequences in a professional and informative fashion.
She assisted with building our company’s comprehensive employee handbook. As state laws were changing, she would ensure we knew about them, and we could insert those changes into our handbook. She also assisted with reviewing communications for those changes for our employees.
We were growing our business and went from 1 facility to 3 and tripled our employee count in a very short period. This meant we had to meet different requirements for federal and state laws. She provided a path that would help us fix our policies to meet the state and federal labor laws.
As the safe and sick time policy was rolled out and the questions were flying in, she was quick to assist with providing guidance and where to find those answers for the employer so we could field those questions for our employees and adjust our policies where appropriate.
